She has a demonstrated ability to translate new strategic directives into successful plans that reflect the vision and mission of organizational leadership. Ms. Brown is an effective consensus builder, internally and externally, with public/private sector stakeholders and has outstanding public policy insight. Her passion is telling the client's story and taking their ideas, concepts and passions from concept to completion. She has worked in US democratic politics and served in both Clinton Administrations. Rodney Hopson is a distinguished professor, international scholar, and teaching faculty member in the US. Dr. Hopson teaches doctoral courses such as Qualitative Methods in Educational Research. In leadership capacities, Dr. Hopson has served on the Board of the Directors of the Council of Anthropology and Education, the American Evaluation Association (2012 President), and various program and committee chair roles in the American Educational Research Association and the Comparative and International Education Society. As co-author of the book Program Evaluation Standards (3rd edition): A Guide for Evaluators and Evaluation Users, his role in the book specialized in issues of human rights, respect and social justice in evaluations. Dr. Hopson has four degrees from the University of Virginia: a BA in English Literature, a M.Ed. in Educational Evaluation, a MA in Linguistics, and a Ph.D. in Educational Evaluation. Mrs. Goodwyn-Askew developed and led a community-centric after school program site that continues to serve as a benchmark for exemplar after school programs. Gabriel Benn is an educator, visionary, and youth activist possessing 15+ years of teaching (primary through tertiary), school administration, and international professional development experience. Mr. Benn’s expertise includes developing proven and innovative curricula to enhance literacy, social engagement, and cultural development of students in public schools, special education programs, and after school programs, particularly in underserved areas. He developed a series of interdisciplinary supplemental media literacy materials which resonated with those committed to progressive, results-driven education and communication. Mr. Benn is also a musical artist. His songwriting and performing endeavors helped him to earn the prestigious Peabody Award for Journalism (2006). Doran Gresham has 19+ years of experience as a special educator, adjunct professor, school administrator, mentor, and grassroots worker. Dr. Gresham has worked with the DC Teaching Fellows Program as the secondary special education project director and served as the Director of Instruction for a professional development firm. As a founding board member of a public charter school, he was the chairman of the Academic Performance and Accountability Committee and a member of the Governance Committee. As an adjunct professor, he teaches Universal Design for Learning and Differentiated Instruction and as a Master Educator he has observed 650+ teachers and conducts post observation conferences weighing best practices. He co-founded an international initiative that showcases the faces and stories of women in education. Dr. Gresham has a BA in English (University of Virginia), a M.Ed. in Special Education (College of William and Mary), and a Ed.D. in Special Education and Emotional Disturbance (George Washington University).
